Micah Dallas

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech baseball’s Micah Dallas received his second preseason honor Tuesday as the sophomore pitcher was named a Second Team Preseason All-American by Perfect Game.

This marks the second preseason All-America award for Dallas as he was also named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper’s second team. Dallas is one of four Big 12 players recognized by Perfect Game.

Three different Red Raiders have received preseason All-America honors ahead of 2021 as outfielder Dylan Neuse and infielder Cal Conley were third team picks by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Dallas, a sophomore right-hander out of Aubrey, Texas, dominated out of the bullpen last season, going 1-0 with three saves and a 0.57 ERA. He dialed up 23 strikeouts to one walk over 15.2 innings of work. He spent his freshman season as the Friday night starter, leading the Red Raiders to a Big 12 title and their deepest run at the College World Series.

Perfect Game is expected to reveal its preseason Top 25 in the coming days. The Red Raiders have already been slotted at No. 4 in the initial 2021 preseason poll by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
